Orders & Shipping

Common questions about processing times, packaging, and delivery.

How long does it take for my order to ship?

Art prints are processed and shipped within 2 to 6 business days. Original paintings are carefully packaged and ship within the same window. Once your order ships you will receive tracking information by email.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Art print orders over $65 ship free worldwide. Original paintings ship free within the United States on orders over $65. International shipping on originals is calculated at checkout.

How are art prints packaged?

All prints are rolled and shipped in recyclable triangular cardboard tubes. There is no plastic in the packaging. Prints are wrapped carefully before being placed in the tube to protect the surface during transit.

Where do you ship from?

I work with fulfillment partners in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Spain, and Latvia. Your order ships from the location closest to you, which reduces both delivery time and carbon footprint.

How long does delivery take after shipping?

Domestic orders typically arrive within 2 to 10 business days after processing. International delivery generally takes 1 to 10 business days after processing, though times vary by location.

Who is responsible for duties and taxes on international orders?

For international art print orders, applicable taxes are collected at checkout. For original paintings shipped internationally, duties, taxes, and fees upon import are the responsibility of the customer.

About the Art Prints

Everything you need to know about print quality, materials, and what makes these prints special.

What kind of prints do you sell?

Every print is a giclée fine art print produced on archival, acid-free matte paper using professional grade inks. The process is designed to honor the original work, preserving its detail, tone, and color as faithfully as possible. These are prints made to live on your wall for a long time.

Are prints made to order?

Yes, every print is produced fresh after your order is placed. Nothing sits in a warehouse. This means you receive a crisp, newly produced print every time, and it helps reduce waste in the process.

Do the prints come framed?

Prints ship unframed, which gives you the freedom to choose framing that suits your space, your style, and your budget. If you need guidance on framing options, take a look at the framing section below.

Are sizes the same internationally?

Yes. All prints are sized in inches regardless of where they ship. Metric equivalents are listed for the A series sizes so there is no guessing involved.

What are Book Page Prints?

Book Page Prints are one of my favorite series. Each print is reproduced on a vintage book page, so the text and texture of the original page shows through beneath the image. No two are exactly alike because no two book pages are the same. They are small, personal, and genuinely one of a kind in feel.

Are art prints hand-signed?

Standard art prints are not hand-signed. Book Page Prints are the exception — each one is hand-signed because they are unique works on vintage pages. If a personal signature matters to you, Book Page Prints and original paintings are both signed by hand. Original paintings also include a certificate of authenticity.

Original Paintings

Bringing an original into your home is a special thing. Here is everything you need to know.

What mediums do you work in?

I work across watercolor, ink, oil, acrylic, and mixed media. Each original painting has the medium listed in its description so you know exactly what you are getting. If you have questions about a specific piece please don't hesitate to ask.

Do originals come framed?

Original paintings ship unframed unless otherwise noted in the listing. This gives you the freedom to choose framing that feels right for the work and your space. If you need guidance on framing options, the framing section below has some helpful suggestions.

Do originals come with a certificate of authenticity?

Yes. Every original painting includes a signed certificate of authenticity documenting the title, medium, dimensions, and date of the work. It is my way of ensuring that what you receive is the real thing and that it carries its full story with it.

How are original paintings shipped?

I take extra care packaging original work because I know how much it means to receive it in perfect condition. Each painting is carefully wrapped and shipped in reinforced packaging suited to the size and medium of the work. US orders over $65 ship free. International shipping is calculated at checkout.

Can I see more of your original work?

Absolutely. You can browse everything currently available in the Original Paintings collection. I add new work regularly so it is always worth checking back. If you are looking for something specific or have a question about a piece, feel free to reach out directly.

Framing Your Print

A little guidance to help you get your print on the wall and looking its best.

How do I flatten a rolled print before framing?

No need to worry, this is easy. After unrolling, lay the print face down on a clean flat surface and place a few books gently on the edges for a few hours. You can also roll the print loosely in the opposite direction for about an hour. Most prints relax fully within 24 hours and will frame beautifully.

Should I use glass or acrylic when framing?

Either works well. UV protective glass or acrylic is a great choice if you want to protect the print from fading over time, especially in rooms with a lot of natural light. If you prefer a cleaner more frameless look, prints can also be mounted directly without glass.

Where can I find good frames for art prints?

Local frame shops are always my first recommendation for quality and custom sizing. For ready made frames online, Framebridge, Frame It Easy, Dick Blick, and Frame USA are all solid options. Just make sure to check whether the frame includes glazing before purchasing as not all do.

Do I need a mat?

A mat is completely optional and comes down to personal preference. If you do choose to use one, just account for the mat opening size when selecting your frame so the image has the breathing room you want around it.

What size frame do I need?

Your frame should match the print size exactly unless you are using a mat, in which case you will need a larger frame to accommodate the mat opening. All print sizes are listed clearly on each product page. If you are ever unsure, feel free to reach out and I am happy to help.

Commissions & Licensing

Interested in something made just for you? I would love to hear about it.

Do you take commissions?

Yes, and I genuinely love the process. Commissions are collaborations. You bring the vision and we work together from the initial idea through to a finished painting. I work across a range of subjects including figures, portraits, florals, and animals. For full details and pricing visit my commissions page.

What is the commission process like?

It starts with a conversation. After you reach out we talk through your vision, reference materials, size, and medium. I begin with a sketch for your approval before moving into color and paint, and I share regular updates along the way so you always know where things stand. A 40% deposit is required to begin and is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due when the painting is complete and you are happy with it.

Do you license your work for commercial use?

Yes. I am open to licensing for editorial, interior design, product, and other commercial applications. Reach out to me directly at hello@brendensanborn.com with details about your project and we can go from there.
