Each of these prints starts on a real vintage book page, so the texture and printed words underneath become part of the piece. After printing, I go back in by hand with paint, line work, or gold accents, so no two are exactly the same.
The words on the page stay visible beneath the image, creating a quiet layer between the figure and the page it sits on. I love the way literature and image end up sharing the same surface.
