Some moments happen so quickly you almost miss them.
A warm afternoon. The kind where the sun hangs low and the air feels heavy against your skin. He pulls his shirt overhead without thinking, stretching his body for a second before the fabric disappears. For a moment there is nothing but movement, breath, and light across bare skin.
Those small, unplanned gestures often inspire my favorite paintings. They are natural, instinctive, and completely human. I like to leave space in the work so the viewer can finish the moment themselves.
